Re: [WSG] CSS drop-down menus
On the Perth Festival site last year (actual page no longer online) we used some JavaScript to hide and display the Flash movie when the drop down menu was activated. As the Flash was eyecandy only, it didn't matter - we figured that if someone was examining the menu, they weren't watching the page anyway. This works on Mac Firefox, but not in Safari or IE. Thanks, Shane Helm On Oct 31, 2004, at 1:22 AM, Florin Cojitza wrote: Or you can try: See param name wmode! RE: [WSG] CSS drop-down menus
That's correct - embeded (with the tag) content does always appear on top. However, for browsers that make use of the tag - IE for example, you can do this by including an extra param tag in your object tag as follows: -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jeremy Keith Sent: Sunday, 31 October 2004 4:50 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [WSG] CSS drop-down menus Shane Helm asked: > I am about to start a project that I am going to use CSS drop-down > menus at the very top of the web page. Boy, that was a GOOD question! I was all set to start a new project - this saves me some big headaches with my client! [WSG] CSS drop-down menus
I am about to start a project that I am going to use CSS drop-down menus at the very top of the web page. Directly below the menu bar will be a banner bar that will be done in Flash. So before I begin, will the CSS drop-down menus drop down over the Flash banner correctly?
