thats true Jason
I've always wondered how people who use Browsercam can see errors which
are "below" the browsercam shot (ie: scrolling downwards) and test
interactive elements like flyout menus

Linux is free, and now Mac Minis can be had for $800. In just over 12
months it's paid for itself. (And I have an excuse to get a new toy)
Plus the issue with just using a screenshot service is you can't text
behaviours like flyout menus and the like. It might *look* okay, but
you can't see how it *works*...

Which one is it that you are currently using?

[WSG] browser snapshot services?

2005-01-25 Thread Justin Thorp
In my office we are currently using a browser snapshot service to take a
look at what a web site in a variety of older browsers and computer
configurations. It is very convenient because in about 5 minutes I can
get a good feel for what a web site looks like in just about every
configuration of browser.

It is just the service that we are using now is not keeping it self up
to date with all of the latest browsers and configurations. I was
wondering what people recommend or use for browser testing.

I'm advocating using CSS to the maximum within my department. A big part
of that is being able to test the designs in as many browsers and
computer configurations as possible; so this plays a big part.

Thanks,
