I should add that there is no frequency offset on received signals. Signals received simultaneously on the WSJT-X/TS-480 setup and on a separate receiver using my own software are always within 0.1 Hz of each other. > On May 21, 2015, at 10:40 PM, Steven Franke wrote: > > I just shut it down

[wsjt-devel] frequency offset?

2015-05-21 Thread Steven Franke
I just shut it down because I noticed that all transmissions are 2.3 Hz high. This is true on 160m-20m. I selected 1570 Hz as the TX frequency and I have intercept=0 and slope=0 but when I listen to the signal on another GPS-referenced received I measure the transmitted signal’s frequency to be

WSPR band-hopping with r5414 is working well here. I like being able to set different bands for different times of day. Is there a way to designate a band (such as 60 meters) for receive only? David NV0O -- One dashboa

Hi Joe - WSJT-X has been running for several hours now, and the day/sunset transition seemed to work just as it should. Regarding the user_hardware issue, would it make sense to send the band and the mode as command-line arguments to user_command and put the onus on the user-supplied script

Hi Steve, I'm just back from dinner and the movies. Bill set you right on deleting the "Frequencies" line in the *ini file. I had thought that those using WSPR in WSJT-X would already have dealt with this one-time issue. As for calling the "user_hardware" script: as presently coded, this ha

Thanks Bill! After deleting the “frequencies” line from the .INI file I now see the WSPR frequencies (as well as the WSJT frequencies). Now, band hopping appears to be working. It still looks like the user_hardware script is not being called after a manual band change. 73 Steve k9an > On Ma

Joe - I have it running here now. I’m having a couple of problems: 1. I am not seeing the WSPR frequencies in the Frequencies tab or in the Dropdown menu on the GUI. Do I need to enter these manually somewhere? Perhaps this will explain the next two issues: 2. I can control the radio (TS-480)

PS to my message of 20 minutes ago: The entry labeled "Gray Time" on Tab 4 specifies duration of the Sunrise/Sunset Grayline periods, in minutes. Thus, Gray Time 60 specifies a grayline period extending from 30 minutes before local sunrise to 30 minutes after, etc. -- Joe, K1JT -

Hi all, WSJT-X v1.6.1 now includes a "Band Hopping" capability for WSPR mode. It's basically similar to that in the older, Python-based WSPR, but in addition it allows different choices of active bands for four daily periods: Sunrise Grayline, Day, Sunset Grayline, and Night. You can set up th
