If it’s really registry corruption, why not try restoring a registry backup ? Naturally, you need to have made a just-in-case registry backup first, prior to the corruption … right this moment, for instance, for the risk-averse among us …

Try the small program called "Fix Code 10 error” The question , did it ever work or quit. If not - important - was icom instruction on install followed to the letter. Does the codec show up when displaying usb devices. Windows auto update usually causes the problem if it worked previously.

We've seen this problem before and it has something to do with corrupted registry. Only possible solutions known at this time: #1 Uninstall USB devices and reinstall -- has fixed some#2 Install another audio driver (like VBCable or such) and uninstall -- has fixed some#3 Reinstall Windows --
