This appears to have been fixed in rc4 (though I didn’t see it in the release
notes). Can anyone else confirm?

I think I cleared the problem. I deleted all FT4 lines in the ini file
and re-created my FT4 Configuration. Must have been corrupted by earlier
versions. Now working as it should .

Yes, some HDMI monitors can have audio outputs, so monitors going to sleep can
also put WSJT-x into a tailspin.

I have a 2018 era HP laptop Core i5 that causes audio drop outs if the HDMI is
allowed to sleep (was about 10 minutes after bootup), even if it is not
connected to anything. The Core i3 version of that same laptop series and date
does not show that behavior. I am thinking the sleep
I think I found why.
After some more tests I discovered that the monitor stand-by is
affecting the audio chain somewhere.
I disabled it and now, after 25 minutes, everything is working as expected.
Now I try to leave the system unattended for more than 1 hour to see if
it is really solved.
Might it be the HDD/SSD going to sleep?
I've got other software that can mess about as a result of that.
Look in settings, power and maybe also then click on advanced or further
settings.

I have the screen going to sleep after 10 minutes but, if I resume the
screen as soon as it goes to sleep, I haven't any issue on the audio of
WSJTx.
In device manager have you turn off power management on ALL of your devices?
What is your default audio device?
Is your computer screen going to sleep? Windows 11 seems to have fixed the
audio going to sleep.

program shuts off and sometimes the log box pops up. Does the F4
keyboard shortcut not work on FT4? Using W10 with TS590SG.

I use as RTX an Apache Labs Anan-7000DLE MKII with latest Thetis.
To trasnfer audio from Thetis to WSJTx I use the virtual audio cable
solution in object.
I noted, using WSJTx stable and new RC versions that, if I leave for
about 1 hour the PC ON and in decoding, when I come back
