Hello All,
UPDATE2
*FOR WSJT v10*
Due to the fact WSJT v10 does not have a Makefile install target, we
have not added a shell script which would normally set all the relative
paths. As a result, during the decode period T - 00:50 or so, you may
get a mesage that says "sh KVASD: l "Error in KV

Yes. What is your point?
It's there because it just might have something useful in it, if the
system call in extract.F90 has failed.

That's to be expected, it's probably actually created many times during

Hi Richard,
I'm not well versed in EPEL, but, is EPEL ( RHEL, CentOS etc )? Does
package inclusion or exclusion in EPEL mean Python3 based apps are a
no-go for Fedora as well or are they managed separately?

Ok, I'm going to give up on EPEL for now. I just found out they don't have
Python 3 at all. I'm not sure I want to support the whole stack needed for
the wsjt programs.

Once more, on the ugly font rendering in (Ubuntu 14.04) Linux, in the
decoded text windows. On my system, at least, the vertical alignment of
text is too low with "regular" fonts. I tried Courier, Courier New, and
Ubuntu Mono -- they all lose the descending tail on "Q". However, the

I addressed two issues:

The message from the prior period will start transmitting. Then I click
"Halt", then double-click the decoded line. This all happened maybe 10
seconds into the transmit period.

The problem looks like the alignment of the font in the list box is putting
the base of the letter at the very bottom of the line entry. So any
descenders won't show up of which Q is the only one.
See if aliasing or some other option may be causing this like hinting.

This message is to let you know that a public beta release of WSJT-X,
version 1.4, is now planned for October 1. Download links will be
posted at that time on the WSJT home page.
Important changes in version 1
Don't have MS Shell Dlg on this box (Archlinux). Seems even Sans 8pt
still has truncated 'Q' tails after trying more fonts.
