I am still getting an error when running WSJT10 from the suite. The program
will run for a couple of minutes then freeze up. I copied a print screen to
my dropbox folder to show. I have no clue why it is doing it.

Hello All,

[UPDATE-2]

First, thanks for all the feedback, it's helped me catch correct many
issues with the JTSDK v2 setup. Your testing is very much appreciated.

Most of the changes made today were to build scripts and a couple
Makefile changes. As a result, all 5 apps have been re-built repackaged.

Folder: https://sourceforge.net/projects/jtsdk/files/win32/2.0.0/
Latest File: WSJT-Suite-1.0.6-Win32.exe

I would recommend un-installing any previous version of WSJT-Suite to
ensure the build system changes are working as expected. I'll send a
separate message about JTSDK v2 updates.

Re: [wsjt-devel] WSJT Application Suite Installer ( Win32 )

2014-12-05 Thread KI7MT
Hi Jay,

I didn't catch the fact the error was in FSK441 mode before. I was
testing JT65A trying to get it to fail, which it did not. However, I'm
getting the same exact error message if I leave the mode set to 441, it
only takes a minute or two.

I'll have to do digging on this one as I'm certainly not an FSK441
expert, but it may be down to the Pillow version being used, not sure.
JTSDK-PY is using 2.3 and JTSDK v2 is using 2.6. That part I can do some
testing on.

Re: [wsjt-devel] WSJT Application Suite Installer ( Win32 )

2014-12-05 Thread KI7MT
Hi Jay,

I just downgraded Pillow to 2.3 from 2.6.1 and rebuilt WSJT. It's been
running for about 9 minutes without a failure. 2.6.1 failed within a
minute or so. It looks to be a variable input change between the two
versions.

If Joe doesn't need 2.6 for anything specific, I don't see why we can't
continue to use 2.3 as before, assuming of course, 2.3 continues to
behave itself.

Thanks for helping with this one Jay.

[wsjt-devel] jstdk version 2

2014-12-05 Thread richard stanley

I had problems the last time I tried as it wouldn't execute on my 64 bit
windows, and ended up installing to a 32 bit windows in a vm box then copying
everything over but I had issues still.
The latest one installs and works great and everything builds fine.
I have built everything with no issues at all .

A big thank you to everyone who has put in their time doing this.
Hopefully I can learn a bit as well.

Re: [wsjt-devel] [patch] WSJT-X: correctly identify callsigns in CQ DX messages

2014-12-05 Thread Alessandro Gorobey

Hi Chris
I agree, but actually do not exist 2 letters callsign
So the table of 2 chars can be skipped
if len

So the words can be reduced

Also line with !=3 fields can be skipped

There is a similar problem with RRR in log or search in CALL3.TXT with
no or blank characters

I recommend to everyone to backup your ALL.TXT file that contains a lot
of informations, useful to confirm QSL or analyze other problems.

Interesting in last days several decodes contains a single field IDIOTS

Hello, all. I recently upgraded to a version of WSJT-X that supports
cty.dat DXCC determination, and found the program misidentifying calls
to CQ DX as the Philippines and CQ ASIA as Pakistan. To correct
this, I added a list of strings people might call CQ for to a
blacklist. If one of those strings matches, then the third word of
the transmission will be used as the callsign instead.

The current list includes continents (CQ NA, etc.), some prefixes
(CQ JA, etc.), some words or abbreviations (CQ USA, CQ LOTW,
etc.) plus the 50 US states. Nearly all of these have been heard on
the air by myself (although only a subset of the US states).

Please consider including this into the repository. Thanks and 73.

[wsjt-devel] wsjt products and SD radios

2014-12-05 Thread Don Latham

I now have four sd capable radios: USRP1 and B210 from Ettus; QS1R/E; and
coming a Red Pitaya. Also two receivers, Funcube 2.0, and Airspy. Is there a
plan for running WSJT software with these, say direct connection to things
like GNU Radio or Linrad or even the devices themselves without involving
clunky needless soundcard patches involving two computers and a clutch of 1/8
connectors and isolation transformers, etc?
Glad to test, but I'm just not a programmer at he level needed. SDR IS the
future, actually it's here now.
Thanks

Hi Don,

You don't need to run 2 computers.
The two softwares can run on the same computer.
You use audio pipes to send the audio streams from one computer to another,
either baseband or I/Q signals depending on the hardware you're using.
Those audio pipes are :
- VB Cable or VAC under Windows
- SoundFlower or Jack audio for OS X
- Jack Audio under Linux or FreeBSD
- under BeOS the media server should allow you to connect any stream source to
any stream consumer but it's a long time I haven't played with it

Hi Don,

With some versions of Win 7 and Win 8 the built-in Stereo Mix can help you
pass audio to more than one app.

eg see ...

As Yan mentioned I found that VB Audio Virtual cable works well too ...
