Hi Sam, still nothing unexpected, and exactly as I explained. There is no default working frequency for FST4 on 20m. There is no default working frequency for FT4 on 160m. Those two options will stay on the current frequency and indicate off-frequency (red background), which is exactly what

Hi Bill, Sorry but I think I may have miscommunicated what happens. Set WSJT-X to 20M FT8. Switch mode to FST4. Freq combobox stays on 20M.  Freq displays stays on 14.074 and turns red. Manually change the combo box to 160M. You are now on 160M 1.839 Switch to FT4, freq combobox turns red without

Hi Sam, this is not unexpected, WSJT-X picks the lowest working frequency for the selected band if there is one available. Your presumption that WSJT-X will go to another band if there is no working frequency for the requested band is not reasonable, if we did that you would never be able to

Hi Maurizio and Claude, the input level slider was removed because it did nothing that was useful. The slider adjusted the digital gain **after** the ADC so it could not compensate for incorrect levels into the ADC. The only useful way to adjust input levels is to set them before the ADC,
