Hi Russ,
what happens in that situation is determined by the "Auto Seq" check
box, the "Settings->Reporting->Clear DX call and grid after logging".
The "Auto Seq" behaviour will send a 73 message in response to a 73
message unless the QSO is finished by hitting ESC or logging the QSO
with the above setting checked.
