There is one huge difference between wsjtx and all the other clones and so
called better systems.
You can run wsjtx and wsjt on all platforms.
Thats very important and demomstrates a highly professional approach to
providing for all user.

You're correct on all points.
As you imply, JT10 is a "JT" mode only to the extent that (like the rest
of JTDX) most of its code is taken directly from WSJT-X.
As far as I can tell, JT10 is JT9 with the sync pattern conveyed by
means of 2-FSK rather than OOK (On-Off
Silly me I was concerned about the "JT" series of names being used in a way
that wasn't authorized.
