[XFree86] S3G KM400

First of all, sorry for this question. I'm sure you've heard it many times before but is it possible at all to make X running with an S3G KM400 (VIA MainBoard, Debian/unstable on (!) an Acer Aspire 1353) ? X --configure detects a Savage3D chipset but trying to run X with a considering driver

Sorry for that question but is it possible at all, to run X with an appropriate driver for this graphic card (S3G KM/KN 400) under Debian (maybe necessary: Notebook, Debian, 2.4.24 Kernel, VIA Mainboard, actually running X in vesa-mode which is quite *) ? X --configure detects a Savage3D
