Recently, I tried a linux distro that used XFree86 4.2. I saved my
XF86Config file from 4.1. I found that 4.2 would only enter 1 mode.
Whenever I start up X, the server goes directly to 1600x1200. This behavior
is independant of what modes I list in my XF86Config file. Even of I don't

Hi everybody,
I've just been trying Xinerama, and it's really great!
However I still have a problem : I can't move an app that is running to
the other screen, if I try it, the mouse actually goes on the second
screen, but the app goes on the other edge of the first screen.

They are the exact same machine. That is why this is so annoying! :-)

Hello,
One last problem in my XFree86.0.log. r182 is complaining about not being able to
determine panel dimensions, and none specified. How can I specify the required panel
dimensions, and how do I determine what that specification should be?
Here's a clip from my XFree86.0.log that talks a

This one can now bob video (commandling option '-b'). There
are also some performance optimizations (inlining and changing
some simple functions to macros, but performance of this
decoder generally still sucks).

Thank you Klaus-Peter Schrage.
I made the suggested modifications to my modules.conf file. I'll find out if it works
nest time I reboot my system.

The subject option doesn't wok on my RH 7.2 / XFree 4.1.0 system. The
Option "Display" "CRT" does work.
Any ideas?

Using SuSE linux 7.3 and Xfree86 4.2, the system would lock up in a similar
manner. Turning off all of the computer's power save features in the BIOS
