I did some quick research, and it seems that gksu(do) were removed in favor
of pkexec, and we followed suit. However, since we do not ship any policy
files, it does not really help. Should we consider bringing gksu(do) back,
or work to include policy files for apps we support?

Personally, I think it would be an important improvement if the gksu
package (and therefore gksudo as well) would be part of the default package
set of Xubuntu again.
I always install it rightaway. What a lot of people nowadays do,
unfortunately, is to use sudo for graphical applications that
