Hi Fritz, for performance you have to take into account that the applications ( not the OS) have been updated and they probably demand more memory. How old is your pc/laptop? I have been using Linux (xubuntu and fedora) for home and work for the past 5 years and they are not a toy ;-) Regards,

Here a disappointing experience: upgraded to 18.04 last weekend. Felt pleasant. Today hiccups with video streaming, slow Firefox and Thunderbird. The inevitable warning about an error. Would not shut down. Unplugged. Restarted. Password not recognized. Reinstalling 16.04 Is this just bad luck?
