Not to tout the competition, but I recently had to work with Firefox,
compiling of lot of info, including graphics, and I wound up using
Google's notebook feature, which you can set up as an extension
within Firefox. It worked fine, though it was a bit of a pane to get
the info out to where I needed it in the long run. Yojimbo would have
been perfect...

Re: why do we have to "copy" instead of just "select"

You're right--it's not that hard...

Am I missing something about the question? What is so hard about

Because I use Yojimbo A LOT, those keystrokes feel like they add up.
That said, I've probably spent more time writing this email than I
might have lost using Yojimbo all day!

Thanks for the other replies. I appreciate the "official" answer
pointing out that this behaviour makes Yojimbo more universally
available. I want to try out that script, too. A keystroke saved...

why do we have to "copy" instead of just "select"

2007-05-03 Thread VLCofA

Hi, folks,

I've tried out many of the other note-grabbing programs, like SOHO
Notes and Journler and Eagle Filer. Each of them requires only that
you SELECT the text and invoke its "grab" command. This makes me
wonder why Yojimbo, which I prefer in every other way, requires that
we SELECT then COPY the text before we grab it. Any thoughts?
