Yep, it's true I've done it several times. Just pick the Muisic, then Audio 
CD selections on Nero and you should be fine.

It lets you use flac files just like wav 
files. In the Mastering / Audio CD portion of the program where you can create 
audio CDs from wav or mp3 files you can also add flac files just the same. Then 
when you click the compile button what actually happens is that it extracts the 
wav file from the flac file into a temp folder and uses that to burn the CD. You 
don't see this happening much unless your monitoring your temp folder. Then 
after the CD is burned it automatically deletes the wav files from the temp 
folder. The result is that you can burn a CD from flac and all the wav 
extraction is handled automatically. Not bad for open source free software.

Both are flac masters that can be easily converted to wav files. Or burned 
directly from flac with Burn At Once. I think the newer versions of Nero can do 
that as well.
