To be more specific: It respons fine on the first ping packets, and it
seems to be working fine. However, every 5-10 packets, it skips 2
packets, but works finely apart from that.

I've been trying to make encryption work (WEP2 + AES), however this
crashes badly, and the kernel hangs.

I'm running FC5 with 2.6.18-2200FC5 kernel, with the zd1211-r83
driver, modified to fit my linksys device (WUSBF54G).

[zd1211-devs] Problem with zd1211-r83

2006-11-03 Thread Vidar Løkken
I've got a Linksys wusbf54g, which has the zd1211b chipset.

I grabbed the r-83 revision of the zd1211 driver, and modified
makefile and the usb-id to match my linksys device, and plugged it in.

It works. Somehow.

The problem is that I have ~15% packet loss, and after a minute or so
of inactivity, the device seems to turn off, so I can't reach it from
the outside. After 5 minutes of inactivity, the device drops the
connection to the AP.

I do not have any kind of encryption enabled. Anyone got an idea?
