Found the problem.
The GTKRC color setting section in the Zim documentation (
http://zim-wiki.org/manual/Help/Config_Files.html) is sadly wrong (invalid
gtkrc format) (owner: please fix it, working example below)
FWIW This works under Fedora 25, and gives you a fully solarized (dark) zim
Update: I have the same problem on LaTeXila
(https://wiki.gnome.org/Apps/LaTeXila).
Mouse copy from outside of LaTeXila into a LaTeXila page works, but marking
something inside a page and trying to directly insert it elsewhere on the same
page doesn't. Insert also doesn't work anymore after
