[Zim-wiki] Error with image path at exporting to md
I have found the following error at exporting one single page with an attached image to md with zim v. 0.73.5: The original image in the zim path is: /home/alobo/Dropbox/WikiMind/notes/Notebooks/ZimNotes/Home/Work/ImProc/Segmentation/MeanShift/MS-OTB_Tests/A_Practical_Guide_of_Mean-Shift_Segmentation_using_OTB/pasted_image.png The image is copied during the export to: ./A_Practical_Guide_of_Mean-Shift_Segmentation_using_OTB_files/Home/Work/ImProc/Segmentation/MeanShift/MS-OTB_Tests/A_Practical_Guide_of_Mean-Shift_Segmentation_using_OTB/pasted_image.png But the created md has the following, inexisting path, which seems a mix of both: ![](./A_Practical_Guide_of_Mean-Shift_Segmentation_using_OTB_files/Home/Work/08ClasesySeminarios/MASTER_CREAF/2021/TFMs/LeonardoTorijano/pasted_image.png) Exporting to html works fine. [Zim-wiki] Insert images side by side and page size
I need to include several images in i.e. a 3x2 grid. Depending upon the size of the images, I can insert them side by side, or they automatically get in different rows. For example, I observe that I can have up to 3 images with 256 columns. I understand there must be some parameter controlling the number of columns in 1 page, but where is this value defined? can it be modified? [Zim-wiki] Organizing feature requests?
Would it be possible having a page for feature requests in which users could vote and add funding? I think on a list with columns feature name, feature description, votes for, votes against, funding, complexity, priority likelihood where the 3 last ones would be set by the developper considering votes, funding and his will. I think that priority should give complexity a lot of weight: for example, leting zim open files with extensions other than *.txt would perhaps not be interesting for many, but it would be so simple to implement... As "feature description" should be very short, the proposer could just write a simple page (using zim, of course) being linked from "feature name". Also, there should be some way of checking the likelihood of a given feature to become real before actually adding funding. For example, I would invest on a better and smoother MacOSX installation, but as I know this is not going to happen I rather put my money elsewhere. Perhaps discussing on the mailing list is the only way. [Zim-wiki] Use zim to structure html pages?
I have some html pages that I create as output of Rmarkdown (R code with markdown formatting). I put a link to a given html page in each subpage and then I use Export/Single page with Include subpages. This is not bad but it is not nice. Is there a way to actually include the html page within a zim subpage, thus avoiding the link? Or set the link in the Subpage in the Index? [Zim-wiki] Contributing to solve the problems of installing zim on MacOS
Installing and using zim on MacOS has some minor problems that, having a Mac among the machines in which I use zim through dropbox, I would like to see solved. In particular, I would like to have a simple and smooth installation. I'm often backwards on my zim version on Mac just because I worry of having probelms and not getting the newer version to work. I've sometimes read that the main reason for these minor problems is that Jaap has no access to a Mac machine to just tune the zim installation for MacOS. If this is really the problem, I propose that Mac users contribute to pay for renting a Mac for Jaap (or for whoever could do the job) whenever it were needed. Is this an option? Jaap, Just having *.md files displayed as text would be helpful already (the markdown codes cause a minimum disturbance for the reading or perhaps I'm so used to seeing them), and should be pretty easy to implement. Saving urls from an Android browser to a zim note would be a very frequent operation in my case. Having access to the task list would also be helpful. Other tools such as creating HTML pages would not be as critical as I can wait for doing that until I have access to a Linux or Mac desktop. [Zim-wiki] Fwd: Vertical arrow?
I've selected Arial as font and the \ d o w n ; works now! albeit the symbol is too small. By now I've just increased the size of the font, but this is really not a good solution. Using Chrome I can include this thicker arrow⬇︎, but pasted into zim becomes just a little square. I still have most of the symbols at the end of the list under Insert/Symbol as little squares, see https://www.dropbox.com/s/qcxuwkbsu74w4p3/Screenshot%202016-01-09%2010.23.15.png?dl=0 Is this normal? Paulo: in insert/symbol you just have to click the symbol twice so that it appears in the top rectangle, then insert. My problem is that the arrows are not in the set of symbols. After the first 2/3 most of them are little squares. Is there a way I can extend the set of symbols? [Zim-wiki] zim063 on Mac
Many thanks for zim 063 Some points: 1. Cannot find directions for installing using Platypus on http://zim-wiki.org/ I do find them on https://github.com/jaap-karssenberg/zim-wiki/wiki/Install-on-OS-X-using-Platypus These directions are useful and I can confirm that they work well. Also, I do recommend using PyGTK 2. I find a bit confusing whether we have to run ./setup.py install or not. I guess not, but why is this mentioned then? 3. Export to html: Problem with not having the top page in the left index has been solved. Thanks! 4. Still crashes if I move a sub-page to a different place in zim's left tree. Re-start does not work from the crash panel automatically opened by MacOSX. Have to close that and re-run zim063. In that case, the sub-page has been moved to the selected place. This crash is not a big problem for me as I used the little mac as a secondary machine (essentially for traveling) and can reorganize the tree on the linux machine at the office. 5.In case this were of any help, I link the output of ./test.py https://www.dropbox.com/s/6sqcboq38n9v302/test_report.html?dl=0 6. Having to use ie. Ctrl-c instead of Cmd-c is odd on a Mac. But if this is difficult to solve or implies maintenance problems I can perfectely live with that. 7. I have the notebook on dropbox and works great. 8. If I select inserting an image, cannot paste the path and name in Location. Not sure if this happens on linux too. Note I can try to help debugging the crash, but need directions on what to do. Thanks again for zim. It's a really valuable tool for me and would like to contribute somehow. Re: [Zim-wiki] crashes on Mac
There are (for me, minor) problems on mac: 1. Key shortcuts use Ctrl instead of Cmd (i.e., Ctrl-c instead of Cmd-c) which is odd on mac (i.e., you copy text on any mac program with cmd-c but paste on zim with ctrl-v). 2. The crash I explained. This could be bad if the mac were my main machine, but it is not. I can run zim062.app using open on the terminal, but then cannot (raterh do not know how to) use --verbose. There has to be some way. I'll try but I'll be out in the field few days with unstable internet. Re: [Zim-wiki] Ecodiv-responsive theme update
Paulo, I'm sorry I miht be asking too an elementary question, but cannot find the way to add your templates to those available for zim at Export. Which files from your github (https://github.com/ecodiv/Ecodiv-responsive should I download and where in the zim path should I copy them? (may be something to add to your How to section in https://github.com/jaap-karssenberg/zim-wiki/wiki ?) Idea was to make it look a little bit more like my blog page (http://pvanb.wordpress.com/). If you don't like it, you can easily change the default header image or remove the option altogether in the template. Furthermore some small cosmetic changes and a bug fix (if menu was longer than height of screen, part of the menu was not accessible anymore... now you'll get a scrollbar so you can scroll to the end of the menu). Not done yet, but on the to-do list is for on the mobile (small screens) to have on the pages open with the menu closed. Should be simple, but haven't figures out how yet. A second thing I would like is to have code blocks exported as html with syntax highlighting. No clue how yet though.. ideas are welcome. ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~zim-wiki Post to : zim-wiki@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~zim-wiki More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp -- Agustin Lobo aloboa...@gmail.com ___ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~zim-wiki Post to : zim-wiki@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~zim-wiki More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp

Re: [Zim-wiki] How to create a journal
ok, thanks. This is what I understand: 1. The way to create a journal page is by clicking on the a date in the calendar 2. The only special properties of a journal page are that 2.1. it is linked to the given date in the calendar 2.2 the tasks get implicit date and appear with this date in the tasks list (if option is activited) 3. There can be only one journal for each notebook Correct? Also, check the Insert/date and time which allows for adding a link to the journal page I can include the date, but it is not a link. Do you mean to insert the date for a task? Thanks Agus On Wed, Jan 29, 2014 at 12:15 PM, Rui Pedro Covelo rui.cov...@gmail.com wrote: That is because pages are only visible when you add content to them. And yes, the side pan might be the best way to access those yet inexistent pages. But also check the Insert/date and time which allows for adding a link to the journal page of the selected date even if the page does not exist yet. As far as I know, you cannot have more than a journal in the same notebook. You can have one notebook per project or you can have a page serving as a journal for a project that links back to the journal namespace or you can link journal entries to the project. I can't remember any better way of doing that at this moment. No dia 29/01/2014, às 09:51, Agustin Lobo aloboa...@gmail.com escreveu: Rui Pedro, Thanks for your answers.
