Re: [Zim-wiki] insert image from web
Hello all, I was wondering if there is any way I could be involved in helping create the Mac OSX port of Zim. However I have some caveats. + I am a beginner going on intermediate programmer + I am interested in supporting Zim with my efforts but I have no idea if I'm up to the task, but I'd love to learn. + I am new to collaborating with other developers. Thoughts? /david On Sat, 2016-06-04 at 09:11 +0200, Agustin Lobo wrote: > Thank you all for your answers, > Found the problem: while the copy on the browser and pasting on zim works > under linux, it does not under mac OSX, where you just get the link > pasted but not > the actual image. Re: [Zim-wiki] insert image from web
Thank you all for your answers, Found the problem: while the copy on the browser and pasting on zim works under linux, it does not under mac OSX, where you just get the link pasted but not the actual image. Do not know about windows, I assume it works. I'm using 0.63 in both mac and linux (upgrading under mac is kind of tricky and thus keep both on 0.63 until I feel brave enough to face the mac upgrade...), could anybody using > 0.63 under mac let me know if the cut aand paste of images works? That would be a push for me to upgrade. Re: [Zim-wiki] insert image from web
Besides: An inserted image may be very large. You may want to change its size with Ctrl-E with te cursor left from the image. Or via right-Click Context menu on the image itself: "Edit Properties". Or via Menu: Edit / Edit Link or Object. You may change the width or height, TAB to OK and it's done. Thereafter you may have a small thumbnail, that can be zoomed to full size with an external application (check the application on how to open a file type with your default file browser). I believe you can also use: Tools -> Attach File On 06/01/2016 05:40 AM, Vagn Bjørno wrote: Hi, I do this regularly, from Firefox in Linux: I right click on the picture, choose 'Copy Image'; then, in Zim, I use ctrl-v (in the right click menu 'paste' is not active). [Zim-wiki] insert image from web
Hi! What do I have to do in order to actually insert an image from a web page, i.e. http://asterweb.jpl.nasa.gov/images/spectrum.jpg and not just the link? (I do want a local copy for cases in which I have no internet access) I've tried Insert image (with Attach image first) but writing the url in the navigation panel does not work.
