is a checkbox shared notebook.

Found the problem and it had nothing to do with Zim. I had located the
journal notebook in the C:\Users\Steve folder. That is the wrong folder.
The journal notebook rightly belongs in the C:\Users\Steve\Stash folder.
Once relocated, the journal notebook appears to be synchronizing
correctly.
