It's worked for quite some time now. You need to set up your
non-global zones using "set ip-type=exclusive".

That's not OpenSolaris. You should be contacting your local Sun
support folks so that they're in the loop on what you're doing and can
provide advice.

Looks like the environment contained in /etc/default/init is read and set
by startd and init. Since zlogin'ed processes are not child of startd or init
in the zone, they do not have these environment settings.
