don't detach your zones before doing the upgrade.
if you do, they will not be snapshotted and cloned.

normally, you would do an image-update in the gz, then reboot to the new
image, detach your zones, and attach -u them.  but this procedure
currently doesn't work if you don't have entire installed.  this is a
known bug that is being worked on:

14684 zone attach incorporation logic needs enhancement

hence, before doing your image update, i'd recommend re-installing
entire.  (either before doing the image-update or after doing it, either
should be ok.) after you're done detaching and attaching -u all your
zones, feel free to uninstall entire again.

I restored /var/pkg/state/installed from my snapshot
and zfs mounted the zbe's and the attaches worked.

I'll do the image update to 134 next.

What state do my zones need to be when I run image-update?
