Seems like it can, but my problem is the version of Plone we're currently at: 2.0.5 and the fact that we've already deployed "PlacefulWorkflow" to resolve problem of multiple workflows (AlphaFlow doesn't seem to play nice with it, at least from my 15-minute test). But thanks for the pointer. AlphaFlow is definitely something I would look at in the future. As for my immediate needs unfortunately I'm still looking for solution. -- Dmitry Makovey Web Systems Administrator Athabasca University (780) 675-6245 pgpIlFsUZJLiw.pgp Description: PGP signature ___ Zope-CMF maillist - Zope-CMF@lists.zope.org http://mail.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope-cmf See http://collector.zope.org/CMF for bug reports and feature requests

Anybody seen anything like this done before? Not sure what you mean by "transitions", the CMF (and I'm sure it's the same in Plone) use the effective/expiration dates to filter out items that are not effective yet or have expired when doing catalog searches. Since most views do rely on catalog searches this suppresses items quite effectively. jens -BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE- Version: GnuPG v1.4.1 (Darwin) iD8DBQFE84bORAx5nvEhZLIRAp0OAKCP4iTNPo7MmBJxwUP9QvHQ3Haf8wCdFw0u A2EOVpowcDspYI2vR3wwF6o= =Atiy -END PGP SIGNATURE- ___ Zope-CMF maillist - Zope-CMF@lists.zope.org http://mail.zope.org/mailman/listinfo/zope-cmf See http://collector.zope.org/CMF for bug reports and feature requests
