I removed all of them from launchpad.

True. Can we have the old download URL's still there, but redirect or
link to PyPI from the web?

I think also we should not on PyPI hide all releases except the latest
one. The download box should contain at minimum all supported
releases, preferrably the last of each major version (within reason).

thats the case since Zope 2.12. older releases aren't there.
i think that launchpad should have all releases available, which are
 listed on zope.org.

My question would be: why launchpad? Is anyone expecting launchpad to be
a canonical resource for Zope releases? As far as I know none of our
documentation refers to launchpad for downloads and launchpad has never
been used for anything other than it's bugtracker.

I would agree that it would be nice to have a single location that lists
historic releases, I would expect that to be on zope.org instead of
launchpad or some other random third party website.

I kept wondering why Launchpad even came up for Zope2 download
resources. I don't recall a discussion where that was decided. PyPI and
zope.org are still the canonical locations.

Even better to have just one.

The only use case that's not obviously covered is an up-to-date list of
old releases. zope2.zope.org appears to advertise itself as that place
(see http://zope2.zope.org/releases).

We did upload all non-egg Zope2 releases to
https://launchpad.net/zope2/+download but not the latest ones.

That's a bit confusing. Either we remove the downloads from launchpad
or we make sure it has all of the old ones.

I don't care either way for this historical stuff.

Not to mention that http://www.zope.org/Products/ is out of date and
lists Zope 2.11.4 as the latest 2.11 release, for example...

IMO it would be better to move all versions up to launchpad and drop the
download section on zope.org (and zope.org will be soon relaunched
 anyways).

Yeah yeah, we'll see ;-)
