 From the Editor:

The spring conference season is in full swing and our crack team of reporters has a lot of great coverage planned. Here's a sampling of where we'll be in the next month:

  • International Oracle User's Group (IOUG) - A must for all Oracle geeks and an antidote to the overwhelming OracleWorld show. As I write this, we're in Toronto covering talks by Tom Kyte, Mike Ault, Ian Abramson, Bradley Brown, Don Burleson, Anjo Kolk, Ari Kaplan, and many more.
  • International DB2 User's Group (IDUG) - I'll be in Orlando in early May for this one, meeting SearchDatabase.com members and listening to some great speakers. The keynote this year is by Pat Selinger, a major figure not only in the DB2 world but also in the DBMS world in general -- she developed the first ever query optimizer for a relational database, after all.
  • Data Management Association (DAMA) - In early May, look for our coverage of a rare U.S. appearance of Chris Date and a large array of other quality speakers such as Sid Adelman, Joe Celko, Craig Mullins, Joshua Fox, and many more.
  • Data Center Decisions - The second year of TechTarget's own fluff-free conference devoted to designing, implementing, securing, and managing enterprise data centers. Look for our coverage in early June.

Email me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you're going to any of these shows or if your travel budget is still non-existant. Let's meet up and do lunch!

Till next week, Tim
