To reduce network bandwidth consumption during domain searches, you may want to set up regional Domain Search servers: North American Domain Search on server A; Latin American Domain Search Server on server B, etc. The databases indexed on each server can be specific to the region so that users go to a single server in their region to conduct searches. To decide who uses which server to search, you can create user profiles that will update the user's current Location document with the appropriate Domain Search server (i.e., USDomainSearch/Server/View and UKDomainSearch/Server/View). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ================================================= NEWLY POSTED ADMINISTRATOR TIPS: ================================================= Database category: Merging a restored database http://searchdomino.techtarget.com/tipsIndex/0,289482,sid4_tax283822_alpD_idx0,00.html Mail category: Informing the users of their mail size and quotas via the standard MailFS frameset http://searchdomino.techtarget.com/tipsIndex/0,289482,sid4_tax283826_alpD_idx0,00.html ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ================================================= FEATURED BOOK ================================================= Domino System Administration By Rob Kirkland Need a concise, practical explanation about the new features of Domino, and how to make some of the advanced stuff really work?
