McAfee has created a new anti-virus gateway service aimed at keeping

monitoring and administration for managed service providers and their
customers. Customers are increasingly interested in managed security
services that take the administrative burden off of them, the company
said.

[4] "Managing the virus threat"
Security administrators must rely on a hodgepodge of update tools,
manual procedures and a defense-in depth strategy that extends
scanning to servers, such as those that handle e-mail, in hopes of
catching viruses before they hit the desktop. They say they wish
anti-virus makers would create a common tool to make the updating
process easier. A few vendors are responding.

"New front in divorce wars: Online visitation rights"
Divorce cases have always been a delicate balancing act for judges.
Now, technology has added a new twist. A recent New Jersey ruling set
a precedent that paves the way for "virtual visitations" in cases in
which a custodial parent seeks to move away from the area where the
"ex" lives. Advocates of the practice say online contact -- through
Web cams, instant messaging and e-mail -- is a constructive way for
noncustodial parents to stay in contact with their kids.
Fathers-rights boosters beg to differ. They argue that online
technology can never replace a hug.
