LOTUS TRIES TO WIN OVER DEVELOPERS AS IT GOES J2EE | South China
Morning Post
At last week's Lotusphere 2002, Lotus wanted to convey that its
messaging and collaboration tools are stronger than ever. However,
the annual meeting of Lotus Software enthusiasts also hinted at an
important subtext: convincing third-party developers there is still
room for them alongside IBM's software services business.

IBM'S OUTSIDER: A LOOK BACK AT LOU | CNET
Big Blue needed more than a talented executive when it hired Lou
Gerstner in 1993. It needed an outsider. In his tenure at the top the
former head of RJR Nabisco turned things around at IBM and restored
it to its place as a computing powerhouse.

FIND UNUSED VIEWS WITH NO PROGRAMMING | Maria Helm
We have all seen tips where you add a form, view, and a little script
to a database to record what views people access. But did you know
that Domino already provides a way to see what views are unused? And
did you know that it is through a tool you already use? Here's how:

THE MISSING LINK | He writes the songs: Mac songs

John Swerdan -- what Derek and the Dominoes were to "Layla," he is to
Macintosh. The San Francisco area grade school teacher has written
and recorded an album of love songs inspired by his Mac! How very
"PC" of him. You could say his computer is the Apple of his eye. Some
of the song titles: "Startup/Hard Drive," "Quickdraw Bill" and "Poor
Sad Mac." The album, "StartupSounds," is available on Swerdan's Web
site. But he's not yet on the level of Bread, Manilow or Croce. So
far he hasn't sold a single copy.
