When Lotus releases Notes and Domino 6 later this year, it looks like some of you will be headed back to school... or perhaps cramming, just like you did back in your good ol' college days. In a recent interview with SearchDomino, Lotus' certification program manager Barbara Bowen said if you're already R5 certified, you'll only need to take one exam to earn Certified Lotus Professional (CLP) status for Notes and Domino 6. The details haven't been finalized yet, but for all the latest information check out our interview with Barbara and Lotus' education guru John Prokop. Or see our Featured Topic below with more great information on certification.

And don't forget to vote in our SearchDomino poll: Will you become certified in Notes and Domino 6?

Have a great week!

By Cole Shiflett
I had a recent application that needed to go to a certain directory on the server and import files into Notes documents. Java has very powerful IO features, so I opted for a Java agent. This code imports both the Lotus.Notes package and the Java.IO package. The IO package contains a class called File. This class has several powerful methods and properties far beyond what I have used.
