According to one report, Palmisano indicated Big Blue could soon reduce its workforce by 20,000 employees, but others claim he dodged the issue without indicating if layoffs were imminent. Dell thinks its "Dude, you're gettin' a Dell" ad campaign and pimply pitchman are so hip that the company is cranking out campus-cool "Dude Gear" -- T-shirts, baseball hats, backpacks and CD cases. Now you can get "duded up" without buying a Dimension. The company says the dude duds are just a natural extension of the commercials; so basically you can have what Steven has. Fortunately, other stuff the character may have (like a fake ID, beer-battered futon and three-month-old pizza boxes) aren't part of the package.
