RETURN TO SENDER | SearchDomino Blooper #3

This Lotus developer was trying to come up with a clever solution to
forward incoming e-mails to recipients' text enabled mobile phones.
Instead he ended up setting off a mail bomb on himself and his ASP.
The following story is a good example of how a clever idea can blow
up in your face, or your inbox.

ORACLE DATA INTEGRETAION | Expert Advice: Scott Lemieux

When I connect to one of my Oracle servers, I am not able to see the
views. But on the other I don't have the problem.

I am using LEI 3.2 with Lotus client 5.0.7a and Oracle Net8 Assistant
ver. 8.0.6. When I connect to the Oracle server with my PUMP (2.5)
server I don't have that problem?

TODAY'S LEAD STORY...

AOL PREPARES TO BATTLE LOTUS FOR IM CUSTOMERS | e-Pro Magazine

Secure instant messaging has long been Lotus' mostly unchallenged
domain, but AOL has a good chance of gaining some of Lotus' market
share this summer, according to analysts, when it launches the
enterprise-grade version of the instant messaging software.

IBM SPORTS A NEW INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION | e-Pro Magazine
IBM was reclassified as a software and services company instead of a
hardware company on the FTSE All-World Index -- a global financial
exchange -- last week, which reflects IBM's changing business model.
The reclassification comes because a majority of Big Blue's revenue
comes from its software and services businesses rather than its
hardware division.

THE MISSING LINK | Internet geek is a social animal

Wanna get a life? Log on. A professor at the Massachusetts Institute
of Technology says the notion that Internet addicts have no lives and
are nothing but socially-challenged geeks too introverted to
interface with other carbon-based life forms is way off base. He says
Web hounds probably have more friends than most people and that
they're staying online to keep up with everybody, which only
strengthens their people skills. Let's face it -- the Net does make
it possible to keep up with more people. So what about all the
studies that say people who spend hours online are more likely to be
unhappy and lonely? The prof says Netizens are just using their mice
to reach out.
