LEAD STORY:

CAN DOMINO DO .NET? | SearchDomino

Lotus is eager to integrate Web services with Domino, but IBM has not
revealed how its Java-based approach will mesh with the .NET platform
of its Web services buddy Microsoft. Some believe IBM will find a
painless way to make both technologies work together eventually, but
IBM may have to find an alternative to J2EE-based Web services for
its Domino customers.

TO R6, OR NOT TO R6? | Advisor
Many customers who felt burned by upgrading too early from Notes and
Domino R4 to R5 don't want to make the same mistake with Notes and
Domino 6. Despite quality assurances from Lotus, there are
conflicting opinions about whether the gold release of Notes and
Domino 6 will be safe and smart to deploy right away.

I WAS A KM CHEERLEADER | Darwin
They say executive leadership is the key to knowledge management
success. One senior PR exec likens his role to that of a cheerleader
for his company's successful knowledge sharing program, which is
expected to generate a $12.1 million return on investment in four
years.

NEW SECURITY FLAW IN OUTLOOK, IE | CNET
A Danish security researcher warned users of Microsoft's Internet
Explorer, Outlook and Outlook Express applications that a recently
discovered software flaw could leave their system open to malicious
HTML objects and e-mails that could allow an attacker to check out
victims' cookie files, read their documents, and execute programs on
their computer.

ZIP ATTACHMENTS | SearchDomino forum advice

One user writes, "I am currently evaluating a software produced by a
company called MK Networks. This software is called ZipMail for Lotus
Notes and it automatically zips attachments made to Notes emails,
thus saving tremendous amounts of space on mail servers. It can also
come w/ its own Un-Zip utility, so the recipient only has to
double-click on the attachment to open it (instead of having to use
WinZip to open the zipped file(s)). I've tested it out and it seems
to work OK, but our main concern is that none of my local Notes SHOPS
have heard of it. Has anyone else tried this product?"

THE MISSING LINK | Official: Video games fry the brain

Scientists in Japan say they've found that video games can mess with
your head and that it's better to grow up playing outside with
friends than inside with Super Mario. In their study scientists found
that playing video games for too long put strains on the test group's
brains and made it hard for participants to concentrate even after
the "game over" message popped up. Evidently a lot of video games
arouse tension and fear, which could literally get on a person's
autonomic nerves. Working in IT arouses tension and fear too. How are
your autonomic nerves feeling today? Give 'em a hug.
