You can hear a bank customer saying it now: "Honey, did you hear that? Someone has a ring tone that sounds like a firecracker!" Only it wasn't a ring tone. A man in Hong Kong was waiting in line at a bank when his cell phone went off. No, it really went off -- as in, it exploded in his hands. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but the source of the Nokia's hangup remains a mystery. Last year, several Nokia phones exploded or burst into flames in Europe. In those cases, the company passed the blame to other manufacturers' batteries.
