LotusScript: XML classes in Notes/Domino 6
[David DeJean]
Notes/Domino 6 consolidates support for XML by adding several new LotusScript classes for exporting, importing and processing XML data. This article takes a closer look at these new classes and provides some useful code examples for exporting data selectively from an NSF file in DXL format, the Domino XML language, and for applying the two parsers supported in LotusScript, the DOM parser and the SAX parser.

Change views selection criteria on the fly
[Graham Frey]
When users want to select on the fly what documents are included in the calendar view, based on a designated category, it can become difficult if the designated categories are dynamic (i.e., changeable and able to be added or deleted). This tip shows two agents you can use to get around this issue.
More control of message formatting
[Alex Elliott]
This application contains a script library that can easily be added to any application to give you more control over the format of your outgoing Lotus Notes/Domino mail messages -- including controlling the value of the 'From' field.
Five special characters in DXL
[Dallas Gimpel]
In Bryce Berry's recent tip Creating hotspot buttons on the fly using DXL, there are some in-line comments/documentation that state, "It's necessary to replace any ampersands in the database title with its HTML equivalent, as DXL can't convert (certain) special characters." SearchDomino.com member Dallas Gimpel disagrees. In this tip, he
explains how to safely convert text to well-formed XML.
