The Missing Link

Bill kills (computer) in Vegas
[vnunet]
Unless you're a Smurf, the Windows blue screen of death is one hideous sight. But when it happens to Bill Gates, it's kind of funny (until someone gets hurt). And it happened to him in a big way -- during his keynote presentation at the 2005 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Unfortunately for Gates, what happened in Vegas didn't stay in Vegas, thanks to a live webcast and reporters in the audience who rushed word to their editors. As show host Conan O'Brien joked, "Right now nine people are being fired." You could call this "Bill Kills Volume II" -- Gates' presentation also faded to blue in 1998 at Comdex.
