"E-mail and the handheld PC"
By Adesh Rampat

Handheld PCs offer a user the capability to constantly have mail
available by synchronizing mail between itself and the desktop. In
most instances the user probably will not require all of the mail to
be downloaded to the handheld PC. In that case, a rule can be created
that will be able to send certain messages to a folder that can then
be downloaded to the handheld PC.

E-mail with attachments, on the other hand, can be a problem when
synchronizing mail with the handheld PC. The attachment will, in most
cases, need to be removed, because most handheld PCs cannot receive
e-mail with large attachments. Removing an attachment can simply be
done by right clicking on the attachment and selecting remove.

But what if the remove option is not present? The user can select
either cut or clear. Note however that when cutting, large
attachments may be placed on the clipboard, using up a lot of memory.

To clear memory perform the following steps while on the message
screen:

- Click on view/Toolbars
- Select Clipboard
- Click the Clear Clipboard button.
