"I was one of the 750,000 SirCam victims. One employee let the virus
in by accessing his personal e-mail account over the Web. I had no
control then. But now I'm using SuperScout Web Filter to block access
to Hotmail, Yahoo...actually all Web-based e-mail sites. They say
SirCam may never go away, but it might if everyone was protected by
SuperScout." -Network Manager.

ENCRYPT THOSE FILES| by Adesh Rampat

available to the Windows administrator to take advantage of the bevy
of security features in Windows 2000. This tip looks at the
Encrypting File System (EFS). EFS allows users to encrypt data files
that are stored in an NTFS partition. This secures those files from
unauthorized snooping, particularly on notebook computers, or
computers that are used by more than one person.

SECURITY | Discussion Forum

A searchWindowsManageability member asks the following question. Can
you help?

I have Windows 2000 running IIS, and I was infected with the Code Red
virus. I ran the patch and rebooted to flush memory. How do I stop
the constant request for "GET /default.ida 200 3818," and is this the
virus trying to infect me again?
