I dont have to tell you how hectic life is as a Windows administrator with the whole host of issues you face on a daily basis. Our site is loaded with features to arm you with the technical know-how to help lock down your networks, keep up with technology and maintain a smoothly running corporate infrastructure. Today, Im happy to introduce one more -- Bill Boswells Admin Corner. Starting Wednesday and continuing every week from here on in, our resident Windows admin expert will be presenting a substantive technical topic for discussion in the searchWin2000 Administrator Forum. This weeks subject: file system security, or more precisely, how to deal with your users legitimate expectations about privacy and control when putting their individual files on corporate servers. Look for Bills ideas on NTFS permissions, the Encrypting File System and third-party tools, then be sure to add your own words of wisdom and techniques to which Bill and others can respond and react. Well be looking for you in Bill Boswells Admin Corner on Wednesday.
