LEAD STORY

FIRST C# MAIL VIRUS DETECTED | News: InternetNews

A 17 year-old Dutch girl, with way too much time on her hands, claims
to have written the first virus in C#. The W32/Sharpei@MM virus snaps
at the .NET framework through a three-pronged worm. The prongs are a
dropper program, a mailer and a .NET component. The worm disguises
itself as an e-mail promising to make Windows 50% faster and more
secure. Experts say it's low risk and not in the wild.

FRYING TONIGHT: GEEK COOKS EGG IN COMPUTER | The Missing Link

Stovetops across the U.K. are turning red with anger -- the Athlon
processor is moving in on their turf! A guy in the U.K. managed to

sandwich. Process time? 11 minutes. Downtime? Zero. Taste? "Lovely,"
according to the galloping gourmet geek. Why? Can't answer that, but
the world is certainly a better place because of it.
