This Week's Show
This show will explore the issues surrounding Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) certification. We'll delve into such areas as who should take the exams, how difficult are they, how much cost and time is involved, how the certifications may help in job retention and salary increases. Our guests today include Chris Golubski, managing consultant at IT Partners, Inc. in Dallas, who will discuss the importance and relevance of the MCSE certification process. Golubski will also provide practical insight on the time and money involved in getting an MCSE or MCSA certification and will tell you what to expect when you take the test. Dan Truax, group program manager of Microsoft Certification Strategies, will also be with us to discuss recent Microsoft changes and additions to the certification process. Truax will explain the new MCSA certification and how it differs from the MCSE classification.
We'll also have our regular segments: Ed Parry with the News; Dave Gabel with the NET IQ Trivia quiz; and Ask-a-Techie with Andrew Baker, director of Internet Operations at The Princeton Review.

In addition, Golubski holds an extensive list of Microsoft certifications including: MCSE+I, MCDBA< MCSD, MCDBA, MCSA, MCP+Site Builidng.

Since joining Microsoft in 1996, Dan has been a manager in the Microsoft Consulting Services (MCS) division, the Windows Client and Server divisions, and the Certification Strategy group. Prior to joining Microsoft, he managed systems engineering for Boeing as a contractor to NASA Headquarters in Washington D.C.
