Microsoft has released the platform -- it will give developers and customers a programming model for generating and formatting notifications based on personal subscriptions. It's built atop the .NET Framework, and is friendly to C#, VB.NET and Visual C#.NET. SQL Server Notification Services will be packed into Yukon next year.
