Backlash from the unspeakably unpopular Licensing 6.0 has moved Microsoft to work on incentives for small-and-medium-sized businesses. That furious feedback has also prompted Microsoft to form a task force to try and salve what appears to be a very open, self-inflicted wound.

Microsoft, Siebel split on CRM (CRN)
Great Plains and Siebel are getting divorced. The two firms couldn't work out an agreement to keep their Great Plains Siebel Front Office software deal going. Microsoft claims it and Siebel will honor support and enhancement contracts. Microsoft owns Great Plains, and it's likely Redmond's entry into the low-end CRM market didn't exactly sit well at Siebel.

Is there an alternate bypass for AutoAdminLogon?
Dear Expert,
Is there a way to bypass the AutoAdminLogon process other than using the shift key at startup? I have a USB keyboard and pressing the Shift key does not work. If I connect a PS/2 keyboard it works fine. Help!

Florida for a farthing
;)
One person's goof is another person's Goofy. A family in the U.K. managed to fly to Florida for about $23 apiece -- cheaper than the price of one person's meal at Cinderella's Royal Table. Did they hitch a ride on Dumbo's back? Close. Actually, an online travel service called First Choice mistakenly listed the Florida fares. The Dryer family bought six tickets and hoped that Disney magic would keep First Choice in the dark. It did -- until the Dryers got back home and told the media how they had all popped across the pond for about the price of a single one-way ticket from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando. First Choice said a staff member is the one who made the Dopey mistake. The company let the Dryers get away with it and ate the $4,500 it lost.
