LOG AN ADMINISTRATOR ON AUTOMATICALLY | by Serdar Yegulalp

Windows 2000 requires that any user who wants to log in at the local
console must do so manually, usually by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del and
typing a username and password. Some users want to have the luxury of
having the system log them in automatically. While this is a risky
maneuver -- it makes it much easier to defeat logon security,
especially if the console isn't behind a locked door -- there is a
relatively easy way to do it. There's also a way to only permit it
only for a specified number of logins before the conventional
behavior kicks back in.

LOCK NETWORK ACCESS TO NON-APPROVED PCS | Admin Forum Thread

Can you help a fellow user resolve a problem? "Caltech" writes:

I am trying to stop users from plugging in their home machines and
laptops and getting IP addresses to access the Internet. I have tried
messing around with DHCP and reservations, but the user can still
input an IP manually. Can anyone suggest some ways I could keep this
from happening?
