LEAD STORY
New virus scans Net for Win2k, XP  (InformationWeek)
A security firm has sounded the alarm on a new virus. The Lioten or Iraq_Oil virus, according to F-Secure, is pretty darn threatening. It scans the Internet for Windows 2000 and XP systems that have shared folders and aren't protected by a personal firewall then starts to spread itself via e-mail. If you have a firewall, you're safe.

ASK SERDAR YEGULALP
Non-proxy employee monitor
Dear Serdar:
I need a network tool by which I can monitor what my employees are accessing on their network PCs, which user is accessing which PC and what files they're using. I also need the utility that can monitor Internet usage, including what the users are browsing, downloading and chatting -- but without a proxy. Can you recommend one or more tools to help me with these things?

DISCUSSION THREAD
Unable to create mailboxes
"SteveRD" writes:
I'm trying to create mailboxes for users in the Active Directory using Exchange Tasks from the context menu. It says it is creating the mailbox successfully but when I go into Exchange System Manager no mailbox appears. If I go back into Exchange Tasks I can delete the mailbox as normal with no errors. I have noticed when I go into a users properties under the Exchange Advanced tab that only "SELF" has been added to the access rights box. I'm aware that there is a delay between creating a mailbox, the access rights being populated and the mailbox appearing but I have left some users for days and nothing appears. Has anyone seen this before, can anyone help?

Does online shopping have you feeling a little alienated? A visit to a new star in cyberspace may help you find the perfect gift for that person who has everything -- as long as that person believes in UFOs and thinks of "E.T." as a documentary.
