The Terminal Services Licensing discovery process in Windows 2000 is

Terminal Services by using Remote Procedure Calls (RPC) to all
Windows 2000 domain controllers in the same domain. The process runs
continuously, since licensing conditions may change at any time. If
Terminal Services Licensing discovery fails -- that is, if it can't
find the licensing server -- an error is logged, which usually looks
like this...

SPEED UP YOUR INTERNET CONNECTION TIME | by Peter van der Wiel

If you spend time waiting for your DHCP requests to time out upon
startup, set a fixed IP address to speed up the process. This is a

BUILDING A DISK IMAGE WITH RIS | Ask Jerry Honeycutt

Dear Jerry:
We are swapping out all our old PCs with new ones. I need to do
application push-outs for the client machines. Can I use RIS (Remote
Installation Service), and if so, where would I find out how to do
it? I looked up a technical guide to RIS on the Microsoft Web site,
but it looks like it is only for the OS install, and our machines are
coming with Windows 2000 already installed. I just need to clone all
the apps the users will need so I can do all the apps on several
machines at once. Thanks.
