Our users are the backbone of our websites -- the continued success of our Tip Contest, True IT Blooper and Ask the Expert features are living proof that you like what you see, and hold our services in high regard. Truth be told, the appreciation is mutual -- so if you're shy, don't stand too close to the mistletoe when we're around.

User questions, tips and bloopers are gifts that just keep on giving. You may ask one of our Experts a question in hopes of solving a problem, but then that query and answer will appear on the site for everyone else to use to their advantage. You might submit a timesaving trick or tip in an attempt to win an MP3 player or digital camera, but your contribution will remain on the site for the rest of the community to learn from and enjoy. Not to mention the bloopers, which may just end up keeping your peers in stitches for years to come.

While we're on the subject, SearchWindowsManageability's True IT Blooper contest is a Web-enabled confessional where you can get your past IT indiscretions, secrets and inquiries off your chest. And, as if your peace of mind wasn't enough of a reason, this month we're giving away a Xircom Wireless Ethernet Adapter as our grand prize. Have a look at the contenders, rate the ones you like and then submit your own! But wait, there's more! Submit the blooper that we choose as the 100th installment, and win all over again.

Finally, wherever you're from, whatever you celebrate and whatever you're wishing for this holiday season, we'd like to extend our best wishes for the new year and our sincere thanks for your continued contributions to our web community. Happy holidays, everyone.

    - Dave and the rest of the SearchWin2000.com team

    >> Open-source IM firm works in .NET, Linux
A company called Tipic doesn't have a typical take on instant messaging. The firm thinks IM should be open to everyone. With that in mind, Tipic has announced that its server software will work in both .NET Server and Linux platforms.
    >> Getting your Exchange cluster up and running
There are certain dos and don'ts when it comes to clustering Exchange 2000. In this two-part series, site expert Schott Schnoll outlines important -- and often overlooked -- aspects of the Windows 2000 Cluster Service. Part one discusses Exchange cluster planning. Part two deals with installing and configuring software.
