The University of Maryland's business school wanted to know how big a problem personal Web surfing is in the workplace. Pollsters found that people with Web access both at home and at work spend less than four hours per week surfing for fun at work. But, and it's a big "but," they spend nearly six hours per week doing work-related surfing from home. The Maryland researchers say this is proof that letting workers do some personal clicking in the cubicle can be a good thing. Go Terps!
