NEWS
Security flaw found in BizTalk Server (Secunia)
A vulnerability has been discovered in Microsoft's BizTalk Server 2000 and 2002. The flaw could allow hackers to upload arbitrary documents using the XML-focused application integration product. The problem stems from BizTalk being installed with insecure permissions on two Web folders, which gives any user "write" access. Microsoft recommends restricting write access using the NT File System (NTFS).

IT SURVIVAL KIT
Troubleshoot a non-starter
Startup problems with Microsoft Outlook 2000 cause you to check areas such as the registry, examine locations of the personal store files or possibly look at connection issues with the Exchange server. But with Outlook 2002 the troubleshooting process is a lot easier if you use the safe-mode option.

ASK SCOTT SCHNOLL
Customizing Exchange 2000 OWA logon page
Dear Scott:
How can the Exchange 2000 version of OWA be customized to provide a logon page so it looks something like Exchange 2003's OWA? It's OK with me to create a separate site to do this.

THE MISSING LINK
This music is too baroque for small children

Do you think maybe Apple Computer flew off the "Handel" with this one? Apple's iTunes Music Store put classical music composer George Frideric Handel in the same category as 2 Live Crew, Eminem and Marilyn Manson -- the "explicit" category. Yep, Handel's famous "Messiah," written some 242 years before Tipper Gore tangled with Twisted Sister over explicit lyrics, came with a parental warning. Apple got a grip and yanked the red-warning label a few hours after it put Handel's masterpiece on the virtual shelf, saying a technical glitch was to blame.
