WHAT'S UP WITH MVM FOR JAVA? | by Serdar Yegulalp

Because of Microsoft's withdrawal of its virtual machine for Java,
many administrators are confused about the state of support for the
VM through service packs, and what service packs for Windows 2000
will do (if anything) to the Microsoft VM. Some setups rely on the
presence of the Microsoft VM to work correctly, and administrators
are worried that upgrading to a future Windows 2000 service pack will
break Java compatibility. So what's the real story?

MANAGE AUTOCOMPLETION LISTS FOUND ON WEB FORMS | by Tim Fenner

Internet Explorer has a feature called autocompletion. The
AutoComplete feature saves previous entries you've made for Web
addresses, forms and passwords on Web pages you have used in the
past. You may have turned this feature off (so no one knows what you

ROUND-ROBIN DNS WITH DIFFERENT SUBNETS | by Randy Brown

Recently I set up a round-robin DNS with three entries for the same
host using three different IP addresses. I turned on the "Enable
Round Robin" option at the DNS server, but when I attempted to use
different machines to access the round-robin host name, each machine
went to the same server. The "round robin" part of the DNS did not
seem to be working. Here's how I fixed it.

CONFIGURING A WIN2K COMPUTER AS A KIOSK | Ask Jerry Honeycutt

Dear Jerry:
I have a Windows 2000 Pro PC that will be in a public area. I want
the user login to allow access only to Internet Explorer and no other
items except shutdown/logoff. Can you explain the process or direct
me to the instructions on how to do this on a non-domain network?
